The tours arrangement below will offer you a very good opportunity to appreciate Chinese culture, ancient civilization, people’s daily life and traditions. To ensure participation, it is recommended to make the reservation through the On-line Registration System.

LT2 Forbidden City-Lunch-Temple of Heaven

The magnificent Forbidden City is a vast complex of palaces and pavilions which were home to Emperors for more than 500 years. The Temple of Heaven is a masterpiece of Ming (15th century) architecture, where the Emperors performed annual sacrificial rituals for good harvest.

LT3 Lama Temple-Lunch-Summer Palace-2008 Olympic Sites stop

The Lama Temple is the center of learning for the Yellow Hat sect of Tibetan Lamas with considerable religious and political sway. Today there are some 70 Mongolian lamas tending the temple. The Summer Palace is called "Yiheyuan" (Garden of Nurtured Harmony) in Chinese. It is up to now the best preserved and the largest imperial gardens in China. We will also stop by the 2008 Olympic sites for a photo shot of Bird Nest and Water Cube

LT4 Hutong Tour-Lunch–Beihai Park-Hongqiao Pearl Market

We strongly recommend the Hutong Tour. It is a tour on an old style tricycle around the old city residential areas. It is the place where you can experience the local culture, traditions and the everyday life. Beihai Park is an imperial garden to the northwest of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Initially built in the 10th century, it is amongst the largest of Chinese gardens, and contains numerous historically important structures, palaces and temples. Later today, you will be led to Hong Qiao Pearl Market to enjoy a barging shopping for both old and new Chinese souvenirs.

  1. The Local Tours fee includes air-conditioning coach, English-speaking tour guide, admission fees and lunch. Children under 6 years old pay half price.
  2. Minimum 6 persons, the tours will be operated. Any cancelation 7 days prior to departure, 10% will be charged as an administration fee. Otherwise, no refund.

After breakfast, flight to Guilin. Visit the extraordinary underground caverns of the Reed Flute Cave. Then visit Elephant Trunk Hill which hence its name because the rock hill with a hole in it gives the rock itself the appearance of an elephant sipping water with its trunk.

July 30, 2012 (Mon.)

After breakfast, take a Li River cruise to Yangshuo and drift gently through the enchanting landscapes that have inspired some of the most famous Chinese poetry and paintings. Spend the afternoon browsing with a bicycle through Yangshuo's antique and craft stalls and rural field. Overnight at Yangshuo.

July 31, 2012 (Tue.)

After breakfast, transfer to Guilin Airport for flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, visit Yu Garden, one of the well-known gardens of classical style south of the Yangtze River. Later this afternoon, we will stroll on the Bund, then take a cruise on the river to have the stunning views over the modern district of Pudong.

  4. If no roommate name is indicated, your room will be arranged as a single room during the tour.
  5. The Secretariat will reserve the right to raise the prices or cancel any of the above tour routes, if attendees are fewer than 10 persons. In that case, the notification will be sent to you as soon as possible and the tour fee will be fully refunded.

TWO-DAYS PLASTINATED TOUR IN DALIAN

Depart from Beijing International airport to Dalian at 17:20 or 17:25 PM July 27 2012 by airplane.
Check-in the hotel.

First day (July 28, 2012)
Sightseeing (Xinghai Square and Jinshitan Culture Square) and visit Mysterious Life Museum (The largest plastinated specimen museum in the world), banquet.

Second day (July 29, 2012)
Visit Dalian Hoffen Bio-Technique (The largest plastination laboratory in China) and sightseeing in Lunshunkou (Baiyushan, Eastern Jiguan Mountain, Japan-Russia Prison, two of the above scene spots could be chosen).

The package tour ends in Dalian at 9:00 PM on July 29, 2012.
